District Engineers Offices (Galle/ Matara/ Hambantota)
Duties performed by District Engineers (Buildings) Galle /Matara / Hambantota Offices
1. Preparing Civil work estimates for Provincial Ministries & Departments, Ministers of Central Government & Departments and other government accompanied institutions on requests.
2. Preparation of bidding documents to Government Institutions on requests.
3. Assign to agreements for work within the limit on allocated Provisions.
4. Supervision of constructions, contract administration and progress reviewing on contract agreements of works coming forward by relevant institutions and assigned by the office.
5. Checking & recommendation of bills of constructions works under supervisions submitted by contractors for paying.
6. Issuing technical reports on requests of government institution and reports for destruction with technical comments and assessment reports.
7. Preparation of architectural plans & structural design plans for single storied buildings.
8. Refer officers to represent Technical Evaluation Committees and Procurement Committees.
